Department of Electrical, Computer, & Systems Engineering Ph.D., University of Washington Qiang Ji joined the ECSE faculty in the spring, 2001 after serving as an assistant Professor with the Department of Computer Science at University of Nevada at Reno since Aug. 1998. Dr. Ji received his Ph.D degree in electrical engineering from the University of Washington under the supervision of Prof. Robert M. Haralick . He also held research positions at Western Research Company, Tucson, Arizona and with the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University. In summer, 2003, Dr. Ji was a visiting faculty fellow at the Information directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, conducting research on decision-making under uncertainty. Dr. Ji currently serves as the director of the Intelligent Systems Laboratory (ISL).
