As a Rensselaer student, you may participate in the Global
Engineering Education Exchange (Global E3), in which you'll
spend one or two semesters studying at a foreign university. You
may also spend one semester at the university followed by a semester-long
industrial internship in that country.
This is your chance to make new friends, see famous sights, and
immerse yourself in another culture. At the same time, you'll gain
valuable experience by solving engineering problems in a true international
context...across cultural and language barriers (after all, our
world is shrinking every day). |

Recognizing a growing demand for more well-rounded, global-minded
engineering graduates, a consortium of leading universities around
the world have established the Global Engineering Education Exchange
(Global E³).
Through Global E³, Rensselaer students receive academic credit
for courses taken at an overseas institution, and practical training
in a foreign setting for a summer, semester, or academic year.
Global E³ graduates gain the necessary foreign language ability,
cross-cultural skills, and professional experience to excel in the
multinational/ multicultural business environment of the 21st century.
