NY Independent Systems Operators

New York Independent System Operator (NYISO) operates the state's bulk electricity grid and administers New York's wholesale electricity markets. The goal of this project is to develop an on-line educational game that teaches the wholesale electricity markets to the players. Previous effort on this project involved studying the variables that would affect the game, creating a simple story board, and identifying an engine for simulating a wholesale electrification market. Future efforts involve redesign and enhancing the game story, study of the technical issues involved with implementing the game, and creating a simple prototype for showing technical feasibility.
