Equipment

The Manufacturing Network utilizes Rensselaer’s Machine Shop and Physical Facilities Department to assist with student project work. With this level of support, almost any project that can be dreamed up can be fabricated.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Capabilities include:

  • conventional machining,
  • Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machining (milling, turning, water-jet cutting, laser cutting),
  • robotics and automation,
  • injection and vacuum molding of plastics,
  • metal forming and shearing,
  • welding,
  • basic electronics testing and fabrication, and
  • computercontrolled coordinate measurement.
