| Fall 06: Recognition:Rensselaer Professors Honored for Frequent Citations
Three distinguished Rensselaer researchers have been named “highly cited
researchers” in the ISI Web of Knowledge database. The honorees include (l to r in adjacent photo) Martin E. Glicksman (professor of materials science and engineering),
Michael S. Shur (professor and director of the Center for Broadband Data
Transport Science and Technology), and Richard W. Siegel (Robert W. Hunt
Professor of Materials Engineering and director of the Nanoscale Science
and Engineering Center for Directed Assembly of Nanostructures).
The ISI Web of Knowledge provides access to essential information
on academic, corporate, and government research. The
“highly cited researcher” designation indicates that the individual is
among the 250 most cited researchers within a specific time period.
