On Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008 Rensselaer will announce the winner of the $30,000 Lemelson-Rensselaer Student Prize. The award is given to a Rensselaer senior or graduate student who has created or improved a product or process, applied a technology in a new way, or otherwise demonstrated remarkable inventiveness.

At a 2 p.m. ceremony in the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies, Dorothy Lemelson, chair of the Lemelson Foundation, will introduce the winner of this year’s prize. She will be joined on stage by Alan Cramb, dean of the School of Engineering.
