Design Your Future Day brings eleventh grade high school girls with an interest and aptitude in math and science to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) for an exciting day of hands-on exploration in engineering, science, and technology.

Through fun, dynamic and interactive sessions, this day is designed to spark interest in high-tech fields and to provide encouragement for young women to pursue technical careers.

Thanks to a generous sponsorship by BAE Systems, General Motors, Lockheed Martin, and the GH Foundation the day is free of charge for students, parents/guardians.

Testimonials

My daughter Ashley Wolfrum and I attended the Design Your Future Day event held at your school on 4/21.  I just wanted to express to you our thanks for such a great day.  I am the mother of 3 daughters, Ashley being the oldest and to have the opportunity to be part of such a remarkable event for young women was such a joy.  The event was so well organized.  Our compliments to you and your staff for a great job.  We look forward to visiting/attending Rensselear again. Thank you.

“…I would like to thank you for putting together such a motivating program! I was very impressed with the way everybody was working so hard. I had a wonderful day at RPI , and it did help me see some definite aspects of my future. Thanks for the guidance – I am confident now more than ever that I’d like to major in math, science, or engineering…”
