Discovering a Passion for Polymers

I remember my days as a graduate student at Rensselaer with great joy. There, I was introduced to the field of polymers, a field that still preoccupies me. At Rensselaer, I felt a certain freedom to learn and explore. People around me- students and faculty- seemed to have time to talk with me and to educate me. I learned about science and engineering; I also learned how to ski and play the blues.
